Day 57 - Chest and Back with Ab Ripper X

That's right, I'm back.  You probably thought I quit, but no.  With Christmas, New Years, me being sick again, and my wife having surgery, things were a little hectic.  I basically skipped the recovery week and took another week off.  I probably lost the results I was gaining, but I am committed to the last 5 weeks.  I started up last night and did Chest and Back.  I don't know if I was refreshed from the layoff or what, but I surpassed my previous best on almost every exercise.  I am hurting this morning, but it does feel good to get back to working out.  My new finishing date is February 6th.  After that I have a few new challenges for myself.  But, one thing at a time.  I will keep everyone informed.

Day 1 - Chest & Back with Ab Ripper X

Day 1 is in the books.  I forgot how rough the push up/pull up combo is.  In regards to the video, I felt I did okay.  The push up portion was okay.  I ended up doing over 80 different types of push ups.  The pull up portion was not so good.  I don't even think I did over 20.  I did the whole video except for the very last set of pullups and back flys.  It wasn't going to happen.  I did the workout a little too soon after eating dinner and was feeling a sick toward the end.  I had to take about a 45 minute break before going back to do Ab Ripper X.  I probably only did about 25-30 percent of that.  My biggest problem was my hips cramping on me during some of the crunches.  I need to work pretty hard on my flexibility.  Day 3 will be my next chance at Ab Ripper X.

I felt that I ate pretty good all day.  Nutri-grain bar, banana, some nuts, and a health bar.  I had one hot pocket for lunch and some chicken and biscuits for dinner.  I think I came pretty close to my goal of 64 ounces of water.  No pop all day either.  I had a little headache all day.  That Dr. Pepper was calling my name.  Also, I noticed the boxes of donuts sitting around yesterday.  Come on people.

I'm pretty sore in my shoulders, but I'm doing okay.  This video is one tough mother.  I'm glad I only have to do it four more times.  I am on to day 2.
